Jodhpur gets the first State Art Gallery !!


A thing of beauty is a joy forever: this is truer when the journey that leads to the creation is explored. Art exhibition at Jodhpur Town Hall is one such journey, of which each painting has a story to tell. Painter's sensitive genius shows the world that anything is possible.

AMRIT SANSTHAN in collaboration with BSNL and UIT organized a painting exhibition Shrishti mega art exhibition, which was the first government art gallery at Jodhpur. Chief Minister Rajasthan Vasundhra Raje inaugurated the exhibition on May 13.

The theme of exhibition was Shrishti which means earth and its enviournment. The exhibition has work of famous painters of suncity like Achal Singh Shekhawat, Ajay Singh Rajpurohit, Amit Joshi, Anil Chitara, Bhanwarlal Soni, Bhati Hari Singh and many more. Amrit Sansthan the organizer of this art exhibition is NGO of National repute, facilating community development initiative since 2007.

The main aim of the institute is to empower the vulnerable sections of the society by building up their capacities through education, health, and skill based development. Environment is one of the key spheres where Amrit Sansthan is working.

It is working towards a society that is environmentally sustainable. Other spheres of the institute are governed by issues related to Health, Education, Livelihood, Environment, Culture and art. The exhibition marked an occassion when Jodhpur- the cultural capital of Rajasthan got its first state Art Gallery. Art lover thronged at the exhibition and felt the rainbow of artistic expression.
